Résumé

In a world where data is more and more important, the ATM stakeholders have to digitalize their data. Transition from AIS to AIM is one of the very first step in this ATM revolution.

Objectifs de la formation

At the end of this training, attendees will have a clear understanding of the stakes of the AIS to AIM transition, its different steps and the cultural and technological mutations required in order to achieve it.

B2-level English proficiency

Description

At the end of this training, attendees should be able to :

  • Understand current system limitations;
  • Contextualize the transition in the GANP (Global Air Navigation Plan) larger perspective;
  • List the three phases of the transition;
  • Quote the main steps of each phase;
  • Understand the new ICAO framework structure for AIS/AIM;
  • Explain the reasons why structured databases are a key element of the transition;
  • Detail data quality criteriums;
  • Quote the new data sets introduced by the transition;
  • Be aware of AIXM (Aeronautical Information eXchange Model) as a key element;
  • List at least two reasons why formal arrangements should be implemented between AISPs and data originators.
