Take your design skills to the next level by mastering the unique requirements of helicopter operations.
Objectifs de la formation
This course allows to know specific procedure design criteria for helicopters.
Prérequis
- Designers having attended IPD PANS-OPS courses or equivalent or designers with advanced knowledge in RNAV and non RNAV procedures (SID, STAR, PA, APV and NPA).
- Attendees should feel comfortable to communicate in English (Intermediate level).
Description
Focus :
The course deals with :
- RNAV procedures general criteria for helicopters,
- “Point in Space” approaches,
- “Point in Space” departures,
- IFR charting.
Theoretical lectures :
Presentation and explanation of the rules and principles described in Doc 8168-OPS/611.
Complementary topics :
Complementary information is provided on :
- Helicopter pilots' point of view,
- Helicopter characteristics and obstacle limitation requirements.
Laboratory exercises:
Some practical exercises are proposed at the end of each main part.
Assessment:
A formative assessment at the end of the training.
